Yes, you read it right. Simba and Nala. Like from Disney’s ‘The Lion King’. (Which I saw recently on the big screen in 3D. It was absolutely incredible. Also – I forgot how much that movie makes me cry. But, I remembered again when I was weeping like a child in my fancy theatre seat.) Ahem. But, on to other things.
Simba and Nala are canines (who believe themselves to be lions). They are my fuzzy niece and nephew and it would be utterly impossible for me to adore them more. They are my direct connection to all things sunshiney, wonderful and happy and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
Nala is simply the sweetest dog I have ever met. She a kissing MACHINE. Little do most visitors to the home of my brother know, the very first moment you get on her level – she makes it her mission to cover you in kisses until you are nothing but a shiny saliva face. And usually, even then, she continues. That’s her favorite thing. (That, and liver treats and sleeping in bed with Mom and Dad.)
Simba may hold the world record for highest puppy jump. Just recently, he launched himself off of my brother’s couch in the living room and onto the counter in the kitchen. (I know, I know – manners. He’s getting there.) 🙂 Simba is the perfect compliment to Nala. He is smart, sweet and a total joy to wrap your arms around. They are best friends, cuddle buddies, and puppy soul mates all wrapped up into one ridiculously good-looking duo.
I am very aware of how lucky I am to have these two precious faces in my life.
I hope you like them as much as I do. 🙂 ….
